Liberty Science Center Secures 16 Acres for SciTech Scity
May 6, 2015
DBI Projects collaborated with Liberty Science Center in developing a detailed concept plan for SciTech Scity, a mixed use expansion of the highly regarded Liberty Science Center museum in Jersey City.
The $250 million, 400,000 SF development includes a STEM-oriented grade school, Edge Works, a business work space for high-tech, green manufacturing, a science-themed hotel, and residences for visiting scholars and students. DBI’s analysis of ownership structures, financing tools, construction costs and operating proformas was the key piece in LSC’s application to Jersey City. LSC was awarded rights to 16 acres of vacant land adjacent to the museum in January 2015.
