CIEE Amsterdam’s New Home
As part of our ongoing asset management for Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), we supported CIEE in establishing a new home for its Amsterdam program.
The new CIEE Amsterdam, which will begin welcoming students this month, will enable the organization to host all students on their own campus.
Following impressive growth, CIEE outgrew their previous center, and we quickly embarked on the task of finding a new location that best suited the needs of the planned Amsterdam Study Center. We assisted CIEE in identifying and articulating the program’s specific requirements, led a site search including engaging and managing local brokers and design teams, and assessed the potential options on behalf of our client. The search ultimately led to the identification a preferred site, which we further evaluated by conducting a feasibility analysis including, zoning, financing, and program. When the site was approved, we worked with local legal teams and led lease negotiations on behalf of CIEE to secure the location.
With these elements in place, we established and managed the capital project required to accommodate CIEE’s program, including assembling a local team including designers, general contractors, and local vendors for FF&E requirements. The project was successfully completed on time and under budget.
We are currently working with CIEE to develop another 6 facilities globally: from Italy to Australia.
Thank you to the local project team members who played pivotal roles in the project’s completion: Studio Winc, WeMake, and DRS.
Congratulations to CIEE Amsterdam for your beautiful home!
