Dozens of Summer Projects completed for Schools across NYC

September 15, 2025

Over the last few months, we completed dozens of “summer slammer” projects while school was out, doing everything from structural and mechanical upgrades to locker replacements and playground improvements.

Working closely with our clients’ internal teams, we were able to get all the necessary work done within the tight timeframes, delivering best in class facilities in time for the new school year.

Even though construction didn’t commence until the summer, the timeline for these projects starts months in advance. Project Coordinator Elias Dunkle and Assistant Project Manager Vaughn Lewis had 63 days to abate, demolish, and rebuild 11 floors of restrooms at Prospect Schools’ 80 Willoughby Street campus. But their work really began months earlier when they started preparing permit packages, managing the design and bid processes, and overseeing equipment purchases so that the full project team was ready and mobilized to start work once students left for summer vacation.

At Bronx Preparatory Charter School, Project Manager Ryan Sanger had eight weeks to complete a façade enhancement and repair project, including cleaning, painting, and replacement of over a third of the building’s stucco exterior. You can see the evolution of the façade replacement in the graphic below.

Thank you to all our K-12 clients for trusting us with your summer building projects!
