LEEP Dual Language Academy achieves One Campus, One Vision in Sunset Park
DBI Projects was excited to join the LEEP community and student families for the ribbon cutting event for their expanded 40,000-sf space.
Speakers included school Principal Johana Andujar, Founder and Senior Advisor Roberto Gutierrez, and LEEP Board Member and Executive Director of the Sunset Park Business Improvement District David Estrada.
Previously, LEEP students were split between two campuses and this project solves that issue, accommodating the charter’s entire student body under one roof. We worked with LEEP and the full project team to transform the former Bay Ridge Savings Bank into “Una Visión, Un Campus” or One Campus, One Vision. A key component of realizing this vision was the construction of additional mezzanine space within the volume of the old bank to serve as classroom and multi-purpose space.
