As part of our industry panels series, DBI Projects was honored to host an in-depth discussion over breakfast on navigating the commercial real estate process in New York City. Moderated by DBI Projects Principal Ofer Ohad, guest presenters included Ira Schuman, Vice Chairman and Director at Savills, who spoke on finding and securing office space and analyzing deal parameters, and Trevor Adler, Partner at Hogan Lovells, who covered the lease negotiation process. Topics included understanding the intricacies of rentable space definitions and the impact on functionality and cost, term sheet dynamics, key clauses interplay during lease negotiations, and the process of due diligence, planning, designing and constructing the space once a lease has been finalized. The seminar was bookended by coffee breakfast and networking, as well as a lively Q&A.
