Topping Out Boston’s First CLT Building

January 14, 2020

DBI Projects would like to congratulate our client, the Council on International Educational Exchange, as the final slab was placed in their new headquarters in Boston.

The first in the city to use cross-laminated timber, this building joins the growing list of multi-storied buildings around the world that have sought to capitalize on the material’s time-efficient and sustainable attributes.

The structure consists of two levels added to the top of a historic rivet factory and will accommodate the expansion of the largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization in the country. As DBI works towards realizing this ambitious project, we would like to thank the teams at CIEE, Margulies Perruzzi and Commodore Builders for their vision and dedication.
