Welcome Matthew O’Connell to DBI Boston.
Matthew has been making buildings for over 35 years as a cross-functional professional serving a wide range of commercial, institutional, academic, and industrial clients.
He is equally skilled in planning, design, and construction project management, with experience as a lead designer for Design-Bid-Build projects, and in PM roles for CM At-Risk and Design-Build projects.
Matthew excels at building collaborative relationships and leading high performance project teams ranging in size from 5 to over 50 professionals. His project management experience includes buildings with construction costs of over $180M and 350,000 SF of new construction and 288,000 SF of renovations, all on single, separate projects.
He specializes in collaborative project design and documentation with a focus on constructability. Matthew’s passion for detailing building envelopes stems from years of integrating modern, energy efficient and sustainable technologies with new and historic buildings.
