James oversees DBI’s K-12, non-profit, and commercial project portfolios, as well as guiding our finances and operations. A driving force behind DBI’s team culture, James takes leadership roles on internal programs like mentorship, DEI training, and professional development. He is also dedicated to community-driven development, having managed projects for over 40 nonprofits supported by the Robin Hood Foundation and leading projects for Exalt Youth. Known for success in foundational projects like St. Ann’s Warehouse and Newlab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, James excels in real estate transactions, public-private partnerships, agreement negotiations, and aligning teams with clients’ goals.
