Amogy Expansion Portfolio

Supporting Clean Energy Tech Company During a Period of Rapid Expansion

We collaborated with Amogy to support their real estate needs during a period of rapid and expansive growth.

Since 2020, Amogy has been based out of the tech entrepreneurial hub Newlab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, developing a product to convert the hydrogen stored in liquid ammonia into clean fuel that can power large-scale shipping transportation. Quickly attracting an abundance of investor interest, Amogy’s growth necessitated expeditious expansion beyond Newlab into their own research and development lab spaces.

We worked closely with Amogy, from the feasibility stage to construction, delineating their technical lab requirements and ambitions, steering a complex design, and leading the process of collaborating with City agencies and the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp to realize a viable facility solution for a new, stand-alone R&D lab within the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

With more growth on the horizon, we simultaneously worked with Amogy across multiple states to identify a suitable subsequent facility for R&D and manufacturing of their novel technology at-scale. Our pre-development work led to identifying this second location in Houston, Texas, which is intended to support their long-term growth needs as they take their technology to market.
