West Village Training Center

With demolition already underway, the West Village Training Center reached out to us for support in executing and managing a complex and state of the art training center. An innovative project, the resulting space was intended to cater to a unique, technologically integrated mind-body fitness program backed by advanced research in applied sports science.

For this space, located in the landmarked Archive Building in the West Village, our client wanted careful consideration of both its design and construction. The Training Center needed to include high-quality finishes as well as furniture and equipment that were carefully curated and procured with our help. When discussing the design intent, the focus was to achieve everything as naturally as possible, without gimmickry or gratuitous hardware, instead focusing on simple and sustainable materials.

After onboarding we initially reworked the project timeline and schedule to better align with the client’s goals and progress to date. We also assembled vendors for the diverse range of specialty services required. As the project progressed, we led contracts and team procurement, oversaw construction, public agency coordination, managed the FF&E (including complex equipment; OptiTrack and DEXA Scanner), and coordinated nuanced AV and IT requirements.
