Kingsbridge Armory Receives New York City Council Approval

November 4, 2025

The Kingsbridge Armory passed a major milestone last week when the New York City Council voted to approve the redevelopment plan for this historic property in the Bronx.

This incredible achievement will reverberate across the City, community, and local economy with an estimated $2.9 billion in economic impact generated by the project and approximately 3,600 jobs created by the redevelopment.

Plans for the site call for over 600,000-sf of commercial space, including a state-of-the-art live event venue and light manufacturing space, over 25,000-sf of community space. Additionally, up to 500 units of affordable housing will be built within the more 1 million-sf proposal.

We are proud to be part of the team working with 8th Regiment Partners, New York City Economic Development Corporation, Northwest Bronx Community & Clergy Coalition, Akerman LLP, FXCollaborative with GRDL, Aufgang Architects, SCAPE Landscape Architecture, and many others to make this vision a reality for such a deserving community!
