On Tuesday, June 21 David Belt and many of the public officials instrumental in making the Newlab dream a reality were on hand for a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Newlab – an interdisciplinary space designed to support entrepreneurs working in emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and connected devices – was the result of a close public-private partnership. The project was led by Macro Sea in close collaboration with the DBI Projects team led by David Belt and James Neu with Jordan Barr, Ben Disney and Crystal Miranda-Miller.

Since opening, several tenants have moved in and the long vacant former shipbuilding facility is once again humming with activity. If you’re interested in touring the space or in applying for tenancy, visit the New Lab website – www.newlab.com. Our congratulations to Macro Sea, DBI Projects and the Newlab team on this major accomplishment!
