DBI Projects is partnering with the Florence Griswold Museum to plan and implement the phased development of its 12-acre cultural campus and art museum, located on a National Historic Landmark.

The effort will address long-term physical plant needs— most notably expanded gallery space, increased capacity for educational programming, and related campus improvements— advancing the Museum’s mission to foster a deeper understanding of American art.

Working closely with museum leadership and key stakeholders, DBI is helping build consensus around shared vision, institutional goals, program priorities, culture, and design direction. This planning process will shape an actionable phased development strategy intended to strengthen visitor attraction, support institutional growth, and enhance long-term financial sustainability.

Following plan approval, DBI will lead and coordinate the design process from concept through construction, ensuring the design team’s work remains aligned with the Owner’s goals, budget, schedule, and technical requirements.
